Screw pump advantages and problems

In the screw pump, the sealing surface between the screw and the shell is a spatial surface. On this surface there are unsealed areas such as AB or DE, and many triangular notches ABC, def with the groove part of the screw. These triangular notches constitute channels for the liquid, connecting the active screw groove A with grooves B and C on the driven screw. And grooves B and C go around the back along their spiral, and are connected with grooves D and E on the back, respectively. As there is a triangular notch A 'B' C 'similar to the front side on the sealing surface connecting slot D and E with slot F(which belongs to the spiral at the other end), D, F and E will also be connected. In this way, groove ABCDEA also forms an "∞" shaped sealing space (such as the use of a single thread, the groove will be along the axial disk screw, through the suction outlet, can not form a seal). It is not difficult to imagine that many independent "∞" shaped sealing Spaces will be formed on such a screw, and the axial length occupied by each sealing space is exactly equal to the lead t of the tired rod. Therefore, in order to separate the screw suction and discharge ports, the length of the screw thread segment should be at least greater than one lead.

Problem processing

1. Severe vibration or noise of pump body:

Causes: pump installation is not stable or pump installation is too high; Motor ball bearing damage; The pump spindle is bent or different from the motor spindle, not parallel, etc.

Treatment method: install steady water pump or reduce the installation height of water pump; Replacement of motor ball bearing; Correct the bent pump spindle or adjust the relative position of the pump and motor.

2. Drive shaft or motor bearing overheating:

Causes: lack of lubricating oil or bearing rupture.

Treatment: add lubricating oil or replace bearings.

3. No water from the pump:

Causes: pump body and suction pipe is not filled with diversion water; Moving water level lower than the pump filter pipe; Suction pipe rupture and so on.
